市场等待联储局大大耶伦在国会继续发表的证词，但由于一连串经济数据表现均优于预期，利好市场气氛，美股早段上扬，道指继续创新高。截至本港时间晚上约10时49分，道指报20536点，升31点或0.16%；标普500指数报2337点，跌不足1点或0.01%；纳指报5787点，升4点或0.08%。

虽然美国联储局大大耶伦表示，等待太久才再加息并不明智，但中银香港投资管理总经理陈少平认为，美国不会在3月加息，预测美国今年只会加息2次，在6月及12月加息的机会较高。他指出，香港银行体系资金结余仍然充裕，若美国6月加息，香港毋须跟随，若美国在年底第2次加息，本港最优惠利率或有机会上调四分一厘，由于幅度有限，对楼市不会有太大影响。

内地1月新增信贷急增至一年高位，路透引述央行人士表示，目前人行对经济形势的判断总体比较积极，适当的信贷增长可以对一些过剩产能等发挥逆周期调节作用，但经济企稳后就有必要对信贷增长有所控制。该人士称，窗口指导是人行加强与银行沟通的必要方式，只是有时候松有时候紧，尤其在MPA监管体系下，将会常态化，市场不应该过度解读，而资金脱虚入实的持续性则有待观察。央行人士认为，今年一季度MPA考核将部分表外信贷转为表内信贷；债券融资受抑制，转为银行信贷；以及随着货币政策收紧，预防性融资需求在升温，这些因素刺激1月新增信贷创下一年新高。
